We have onboarding videos that will tell you what you need to know in our members section. We can also do one on one coaching sessions with you to get you up to speed.
FAQ
What type of trades do you take?
Our most common trade is fully exited within one trading session.
What is the difference between day trading and swing trading?
Day trades are entered and exited within the same trading day/session. Swing trades are positions that are held for more than one day/session.
Do you swing trade?
Yes, sometimes by design and sometimes we hold pieces of our day trades for multiple days.
What markets do you trade?
We trade the New York session only. We typically only trade the first 1-2 hours of the market open. This timeframe historically has the most volatility and produces the most reliable follow through on a trade.
Do you trade options or shares?
I trade options only. The levels we review and methods we talk about are designed for options transactions. You can take shares if you want.
Do you trade crypto?
No, we do not.
What makes you decide to enter into a trade?
We use support and resistance technical analysis as our foundation for where to look for trade entries.
How are support and resistance levels located?
We teach you this in our training videos and explain our levels each morning during our live pre-market meeting.
When do you suggest selling at a loss?
We have a defined risk profile for each stock. Exceeding this risk area would cause us to sell the position for a loss. There are also additional methods that we teach to our members.
What time increment do you use for your charts?
We teach you how we set up our charts so that you can follow along and see what we are looking at. We have training videos to guide you through this.
What stocks do you trade?
We trade stocks with high liquidity. This allows us to get in and out of our positions easier. Stocks with low liquidity can cause you to get stuck in your position. Penny stocks are examples of something with low liquidity. We’re not telling you to not trade those, but we do not because of this issue.
What software do I need to day trade?
We personally use Interactive Brokers for transactions and TradingView for charting. This choice is a personal preference so do your research and choose what suits you best.
How much money do I need to start day trading?
Very common question and unfortunately there’s no real answer for it. We suggest setting up a cash account with your chosen broker and deposit what you are willing to lose without altering your personal situation. Trading is a high risk high reward path. Implementing what you learn along the way will increase your chances of profitability in the long run. Almost everyone loses money when they start learning so plan on that to be safe.
Should I use leverage or margin when trading?
If you’re asking this question then the answer is no. You’ll know if this is something that you should pursue.
